The S.E.A.T. Executive Brain Trust is the research and intelligence arm of S.E.A.T., dedicated to generating the insight necessary to understand—and influence—the future of Black women in executive leadership.
Through independent research, proprietary data collection, executive perspectives, and original analysis, the Brain Trust examines the experiences, influence, advancement, access, and impact of Black women across the C-suite and other positions of significant leadership.
We believe the future of leadership should not be shaped by assumptions.
It should be informed by evidence.
Jasmine Taylor, S.E.A.T. Founder & President
At the center of the Brain Trust's work is the S.E.A.T. Executive Intelligence Study—a proprietary research initiative designed to capture the perspectives and realities of Black women leading across industries and sectors.
The Study brings together quantitative and qualitative intelligence to examine questions that traditional leadership research often leaves unanswered.
The result is a growing body of proprietary intelligence designed to move the conversation from representation to impact, from access to influence, and from individual advancement to institutional change.
The Report provides a data-informed perspective on the state of Black women in executive leadership and explores the conditions that enable leaders not only to reach the C-suite—but to thrive, lead with influence, and create lasting impact once they arrive.
The Report is intended to serve as:
A benchmark for understanding the current landscape.
A source of intelligence for executives and organizations.
A catalyst for conversation about the future of Black women in leadership.
A framework for action for those positioned to create meaningful change.
As this body of research matures, S.E.A.T. intends to develop the S.E.A.T. Executive Leadership Index™—a proprietary benchmark designed to measure and track the conditions, experiences, and indicators associated with executive leadership and success among Black women.
The Brain Trust is not simply documenting where Black women are. We are studying where they are going.
We are examining the systems surrounding their leadership, the environments in which they succeed, the barriers that continue to shape their experiences, and the influence they are already exerting across organizations and industries.
We love to expand our network. Email hello@seatateverytable.org to make in introduction.
S.E.A.T. is nonpartisan and does not endorse political parties or candidates.
We engage across the political spectrum to advance the interests, influence, and leadership of Black women at every table where decisions are made.
