“The data tells us where we’ve been. The intelligence tells us where we’re going.”

Kenya Lee, S.E.A.T. Chairwoman of Public Policy

Independent research. Proprietary intelligence.

Black women have been shaping institutions for generations.

The S.E.A.T. Executive Intelligence Study measures the impact, examines the barriers, and studies what comes next.

S.E.A.T. is developing key questions and insights about Black C-suite leaders, like:

  • What does executive success actually look like for Black women?
  • What factors accelerate or constrain advancement into the C-suite?
  • How are Black women exercising influence once they reach positions of power?
  • What forms of access, sponsorship, and opportunity matter most?
  • What challenges remain invisible in conventional leadership data?
  • How are Black women shaping organizations, industries, communities, and the next generation of leaders?
  • What can organizations do differently to retain, advance, and leverage Black women at the highest levels?

Building a Longitudinal View

The S.E.A.T. Executive Intelligence Study is designed to grow over time.

Each annual study contributes to a larger body of knowledge, allowing S.E.A.T. to identify changes in executive experiences, emerging leadership trends, persistent barriers, and new opportunities across industries.

“Measure the landscape. Understand the leadership. Shape what comes next.”

Marisa Hall, S.E.A.T. Vice President
